Restaurant 3: The Garden Grill

"Laugher is America's most important export." - Walt Disney
Good day readers, today I am looking forward to describing a dining experience I had at the Garden Grill.  As the quote above states, I try my hardest to give you an entertaining blog as well as useful information.  The design of these blogs are to be light, entertaining, and informative.  I hope they brighten your day, and make you smile, enjoy!
The restaurant train continues to our next stop, the Garden Grill.  This restaurant is located in the The Land Pavilion in the EPCOT Theme Park.  This restaurant is unique in that it rotates 360 degrees, don't worry you won't get dizzy!  This restaurant rotates approximately one full turn during your dining experience.
Have you ever dined with someone is too interested in what else is going on in the restaurant and less interested in what you have to say?  Well folks, with a continuing change of scenery, and all the seats facing outward, you may actually get your dining companions to focus on your conversation.
The set up of this dining is a different experience.  When you sit down, you will notice the bowls on the table are arranged in a Mickey shape (two small bowls as ears and on large bowl in the middle, in case you are unable to visualize what Mickey looks like :-)).   Once seated, you will notice that it is a character meet and greet.  The benefit to this restaurant is that it is not very large, and you will have many character interactions.  The characters that are featured here are:  Mickey, Chip and Dale, and Pluto.  Mickey is dressed in his farmer attire (overalls and such).
There is NO menu's here, you can look at what is offered by checking out the website, and or at the host stand.  The meal is served "family style", meaning they will bring all the food out, and you can get as many helping as you can possible stuff in your belly, you do know what the EPCOT acronym stands for right??  (Every Person Comes Out Tired, this is a well deserved meal).
All the vegetables are grown in the lower portion of this pavilion.  Either before or after the meal, please visit "Living with the Land ride!  You will see how some of the food you ate is grown!  During the holiday season, they overlay the attraction with lights, and holiday music.
For the purpose of this blog, I have only had dinner here, but they do offer breakfast and lunch as well.  For dinner, the offering is turkey, mac and cheese (with goldfish crackers on top), french fries, and vegetables.  For dessert you are served a berry short cake and cookies.
The turkey was perfectly cooked, mac and cheese is more like a southern type of mac and cheese.  Being from the north, homemade mac and cheese, typically is white cheese with a bread crumb top, so, this version was a bit different.  The mac and cheese was more like orange, nuclear, cheese wiz, type of cheese.  Yes, it was very tasty but had me wanting to go in a dark room to see if I glowed.
The server we had was a very nice man, had many puns, however, after dining for at least 30 minutes, the puns started to get old, and had me looking for the check.  I appreciate puns, humor, etc., but after a certain amount of time, it gets old (man, I sound like scrooge).
The dinner is aptly named "Chip n' Dales Harvest Feast" and are priced as follows:  Adult $55 and Children 3-9 $36.  Compared to the previous restaurant reviews, this is well worth the $55!
Have you eaten here?  If so, please comment below, I would love to hear what you have to say.
Grading of this restaurant:
Service:  B (As explained in the blog, the first 30 minutes of the puns was ok, but got old fast).
Drinks:  N/A (I did not grade this one, because lets be real, how do you grade a Coke product?)
Food:  A- (This gets a high mark, the Turkey was tender (no dark meat), Mac n' Cheese was interesting to this northern guy - food to value is also a big deciding factor in this grade).
Atmosphere:  A (I mean c'mon how often do you eat at a rotating restaurant with Mickey Mouse?)
Overall: A- (Great value, Best Character meal (as far as I am concerned, big Mickey fan here), Unique atmosphere!)

I hope you enjoyed this blog, many more will be available in the coming days, please favorite this page and stay tuned!  "See Ya Real Soon"- Mickey Mouse
